Bravo Models Japan recently added the above girl, Dakota, to their roster. Her pictures looking a bit odd, and Bravo linking to her blog KotaKoti, I got curious and started poking around. Here is a gist of what's written, and is known, about her:

Everyone meet Dakota (at least I think that’s her real name), she’s a 16-year-old girl who goes by KotaKoti and looks a lot like a Barbie doll. Recently, photos of her have gone viral on several Asia and Arabic social sites because of her incredible resemblance to Barbie.

Meet KotaKoti, also known as Dakota Rose. KotaKoti has a rather unique look: she looks like a life-sized anime character or doll, thanks to a series of makeup effects and custom contact lenses. Dakota Rose's Model Mayhem profile lists her as a 23-year-old who's living in San Francisco.

Basically everything about Dakota Rose is fake - everything. And most people are annoyed that the whole mainstream attention that she gets is because of her dollface and dolly style that is not normal for an ordinary 16 years old girl. The difference is that she IS normal but helps enhancing her features with photoshop and guess what: an exposed police report says that she's born 19. September 1993, this makes her turn 19 on September. Another lie but we're used to it anyway.
So why does she lie about her age, about her past and about her appearance? Because she obviously found a way how to get the ultimate fame that she desires since her MySpace days. Simply telling her fans the truth would damage her pure, dolly image which is needed though to be successful in Japan/Asia.

She’s 16 years old and has an older sister named Kirsten Leigh (20) alias Kiki Kannibal. Kiki Kannibal became known as an Internet celebrity in the US some years ago after publishing pictures of herself on the internet and being featured in the Rolling Stone of last year. She and her sister Dakota have caused quite an uproar in the US and even had to move to an other place when people started threatening them..
I wonder what scandalous things they did to earn so many haters!? There are some pretty pupertal and stupid videos on youtube of the two sister speaking bad about other people but it’s a little infantile to threaten and hate them because of that I think!!? Obviously they haven’t been saints but who cares?!
Kota Koti is getting famous for her YouTube videos featuring hair tutorials and outfits while looking like a real life doll.. No wonder that Japan is showing huge interest in her! Earlier this month, she made her debut on Japanese TV, which showed one of her cute YouTube videos and a Japanese talent agency even signed her. Her pictures are currently appearing in magazines in China, South Korea and Japan. According to Japanese blogs however, she’s going to pursue a career in Japan. As she says in interviews with the Japanese media, she has had an interest in Japans since her childhood and also speaks fluently Japanese.
very inspiring and beautiful. This girl is so cute like a barbie doll. I started liking Dakota Rose since seeing this girl in one of the television show :)
